Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet Achieves Platinum Status

Sabrina Carpenter’s latest album, Short N’ Sweet, has officially been certified platinum. Released over the summer, the album includes hit singles such as “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.” As of Friday, September 27, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) confirmed that the album has sold over one million units, marking it as Carpenter’s first album to reach this significant milestone.

Chart Success and Upcoming Tour

Short N’ Sweet debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200 chart upon its release in August, maintaining the top position for three consecutive weeks, making it her first chart-topping record. In addition, she achieved Number One status in the UK, becoming the first female artist to hold both the Number One album and single (with “Taste”) simultaneously, according to Official Charts. As of this week, “Taste” has also enjoyed five consecutive weeks at Number One.

Reflecting on her success, Carpenter expressed her gratitude on Instagram for her first US Number One album, stating, “Can’t express my gratitude. My first #1 album!!!! Thank you for listening to Short N’ Sweet. Thank you for believing in me all these years! I couldn’t do any of this without you :’) this feels really special. Love you all.”

In a four-star review, NME praised Short N’ Sweet, noting that “full creative control looks good on the pop star, who swings for the big leagues on her sharp and saucy sixth record.” The review highlighted that Carpenter’s identity as an artist has never been clearer and that her ascent in pop music is set to continue smoothly.

This month, the pop singer kicked off her world tour in support of the new album, where she has made some changes, such as removing her customized “Nonsense” outros while promising a surprise cover during each night of the current North American leg.
